Saint Agnes’ Doggie Election is an engaging mock election that offers students a fun way to learn about the electoral process, featuring dogs as candidates. Students registered to vote as either “Repuppycan” or “Dogocrat” and participated in a lively assembly where they met the six candidates, each accompanied by their own Secret Service detail.
Following an exciting primary election to narrow down the candidates, students are gearing up for the final vote for Doggie President of the school on November 4th. The Junior High even calculated the electoral college by grade level, aiming for that crucial 270 votes. What a fantastic way to teach students about the election process!
