Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes School exists to provide excellence in Catholic education while inspiring and empowering our students to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As compassionate and faithful Christians, we continue to pursue our spiritual journey, achieve our highest academic potential, and be stewards of the Catholic faith to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The Liturgical Season of Advent begins this Sunday. We will begin our school celebration of Advent on Monday at 8 a.m. with a prayer service in our gym. All are welcome to attend! At Saint Agnes we traditionally use the season as a time to give back to those in our community who need it. We have forged a special relationship with the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home over the past couple years, providing the children there with pajamas and slippers. We are asking our students to donate at least $1 next week to provide these items again for those children. In addition, we will have a food collection for Be Concerned during the week of December 11, providing "power packs" for children in our community to take home for a weekend because they may not have any food at home. More information will be provided as we get closer. I also encourage any families to participate in lighting the Advent candle at a Sunday Mass during the season. To schedule your family's candle lighting contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling the parish office. I wish everyone a very blessed Advent season as we prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ. ~ Mr. Hoyt
Picture Re-Take Day: Don't forget that tomorrow is picture re-take day. If you want your child's pictures retaken, you must send back your original picture package from Lifetouch. All students that were absent on the original picture day will also have their pictures taken. Those students having their picture taken tomorrow may "dress up."
Spirit Wear Day Tomorrow: Don't forget that tomorrow, November 30, is a Saint Agnes Spirit Wear Day.
Kindergarten Preview Thursday, December 7: For any parents interested in our kindergarten program, we will be hosting our annual "Kindergarten Preview" on Thursday, December 7, from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Parents will have an opportunity to learn more about our program and observe lessons in our kindergarten classrooms. To RSVP for our "Kindergarten Preview" please call the school office (859-261-0543) or email email@example.com.

Kroger Community Rewards Update: Thank you to everyone who uses Saint Agnes School as the recipient of their Kroger purchases. Through the Kroger Community Rewards program, your purchases helped Saint Agnes earn $1392.06 between August 1 and October 31. If you do not have Saint Agnes School signed up to receive a portion of your grocery purchases, you may do so here.
Product Survey: Please help Saint Agnes earn money for the school! We still have over 30 spots open! We are looking for children ages 6-8 and an accompanying parent or guardian to complete an oral care (toothpaste) study and survey. This will occur on Monday, December 11, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. in Murphy Hall. The children may taste the product. If your child has any known allergies please do not sign them up to participate. Each survey should only take about 15 minutes. The link to sign up is http://signup.com/go/QdeWjhA. Saint Agnes will receive payment for each participating child with parent. We must have 30-40 participants to receive a bonus for perfect attendance. The last session we earned almost $500 for the school. Product surveys are a great opportunity for us to help Saint Agnes! Thank you, in advance, for participating in our fund raiser!
Skyline Night: The next Skyline Eat-Out Night is Monday, December 4. Show your server the attached flyer or just let your server know that you are with Saint Agnes. The school will receive 20 percent of the sales. Remember, this is only for the Fort Wright Skyline. Be sure and thank them for their continued support of our school.
Stella & Dot Fund Raiser: Please join us for the third annual Stella & Dot trunk show, benefiting the Big Blue Bash, hosted by Stephanie Fieler and Julie Burns. The party will take place on Friday, December 8, from 6-9 p.m. at 1642 Tartan Dr. in Fort Wright. This is a great opportunity to get some holiday shopping done while visiting with other Saint Agnes moms and also benefit the school! All credits earned from the party are donated to the Big Blue Bash large raffle. Last year the Stella & Dot raffle raised more than $1000! To RSVP please go to https://hbnb.io/e/8Mwv/s/l. If you are unable to attend but would still like to shop the trunk show use this link: https://www.stelladot.com/ts/vl5vk. The online portion will be open through Friday, December 22.
Big Blue Bash: Survey results are in! The results can be found in the attached summary. The Committee has reviewed these results to continue to improve this fundraising event. Thanks to everyone who submitted their answers. We are looking forward to another great event on Friday, March 23, 2018!
