Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes Elementary School strives for excellence in providing a Catholic education that inspires and empowers our students to embrace the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ as compassionate and faithful Christians, who continue to pursue their spiritual journey, their highest academic potential, and stewardship to others.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the Moms.!!! Enjoy your special day!!!
MATHCOUNTS: St. Agnes School achieved the Silver Level Status in the MATHCOUNTS Club Program this year. The MATHCOUNTS Club Program is a middle-school math enrichment program designed to inspire excellence, confidence and curiosity in U.S. middle-school students. In order to achieve Silver Level Status, the students in the school must complete five monthly challenges. We congratulate and thank the Math Counts Coach, Tim Pangallo, on this achievement!!!! We will display our trophy proudly in or academic trophy case. Congratulations to all!!!
IOWA Standardized Test Scores: Students in grades K, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 took the IOWA tests in March. The scores are in and your child’s individual test scores are coming home today in an envelope. Please look for them. If you have questions about the tests or the scores, or would like a further explanation, please email me at lgroh@saintagnes.com, or call the office for an appointment. Teachers can help you also.
Faith for Generations Update - Our Faith for Generations capital campaign has now had all eleven Advanced Commitment Dinners that have been scheduled. This phase is sometimes called the "pace-setter phase" or "silent phase" of a capital campaign. As the name suggests, parishioners who are a part of this Advanced Commitment Phase of the campaign are asked to set the pace and make their commitments to the campaign in advance of Commitment Weekend (May 21 & May 22) when all parishioners will be invited to come forward with their commitment card and place it on a table before the altar.
To show our gratitude for significant contributions to Saint Agnes Church and School during our Faith for Generations campaign, we have created opportunities for individuals, families, and organizations to establish permanent commemoratives. These commemorative opportunities can be viewed here.
As we head into these last weeks, we are at a very crucial phase of our Faith for Generations campaign. Please pray for the success of our campaign and ask God to please bless all the gifts that people offer. This campaign is crucially important for our school. Our school facilities, mostly built in the 1950's, are in great need of upgrading and repairs. We do not want to fall further behind.
