Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes School exists to provide excellence in Catholic education while inspiring and empowering our students to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As compassionate and faithful Christians, we continue to pursue our spiritual journey, achieve our highest academic potential, and be stewards of the Catholic faith to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! When I was teaching I had a cousin once ask me what I did when the school day ended because he was so surprised I stayed so long after some school days ended. Since he was my cousin and we have an amicable relationship I may have increased my tone of voice a little and gotten somewhat agitated in telling him there were still meetings that needed to be had, assignments to be graded, lessons to be planned, materials for lessons that needed to be coordinated, emails to parents that needed to be sent, and grades to be posted online, among other things. All teachers do a lot for our students and within our schools and our teachers at Saint Agnes do it so well! I encourage all of our students and parents to reach out to a teacher or two this week to express their gratitude for their hard work and, especially, for the difference they make in the lives of their students!
I also would like to invite everyone to attend our spring Scholastic Book Fair, which runs this Friday, May 11, until the following Friday, May 18. All profits that we receive from the Scholastic Book Fair is returned to Saint Agnes in the form of Scholastic dollars, where new books and resources are purchased for our library. Our school does not receive any financial payment from book fair proceeds. Instead, we maximize our book fair proceeds by receiving Scholastic dollars, giving us the ability to purchase these new products. We look forward to seeing you at the book fair!
And tickets are still available for the 7th and 8th grade student performances of "Peter Pan, Jr." this Saturday at Notre Dame Academy. Our students and their producers have worked very hard in preparation for these showings. If you are available Saturday please show your support! ~ Mr. Hoyt
Out-of-Uniform for Students Whose Parents Attended Steve Smith Presentation: Those parents who attended the Steve Smith "Digitial Tattoo" presentation on April 12 may have students attend school tomorrow, May 10, out of uniform.

The book fair will be open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day except Tuesday, May 15, when it is open until 6 p.m.
Wildcat Bash 2018: Get ready for Disney's animated movie-themed Wildcat Bash 2018! The event is scheduled for Friday, May 18. Junior High Play: Please join our 7th and 8th graders as they fly off to Neverland in their performances of Peter Pan, Jr. this Saturday, May 12, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Notre Dame Academy. It promises to be an evening that will make you never want to grow up! Tickets are available at www.tututix.com/StAgnesSchool. Any unsold tickets will be available at the door before each performance.
Donuts for Our Parents and Volunteers: DONUT you know how much we appreciate you? Saint Agnes students, faculty, and staff would like to show our appreciation to all volunteers on May 18 by treating you to a DONUT. During morning drop-off we will be handing out donuts in the car line to all parents in appreciation for all you do for Saint Agnes during the year. Please be sure to drop off your children that day so you can have breakfast on us!
Park Hills Memorial Day Parade: The Park Hills Civic Association has invited any Saint Agnes groups who would like to participate in the Park Hills Memorial Day Parade on May 28 to do so.
