Welcome to Library

This year Mrs. Kelly Sparks is the Library Media Specialist. Mrs. Sparks will be in the Library Media Center Monday through Wednesday. This is my eighth year in the library, and once again any help and or suggestions are certainly welcome. I am very excited about helping the students, faculty, and parents be effective users of ideas and information found in our library. Our library offers fiction, non-fiction, picture books, reference books, magazines, and an on-line card catalog. I will strive to provide instruction that fosters competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information.

Policies, Rules, and Regulations

The following policies, rules, and regulations have been established to foster responsibility, stewardship, and accountability in each student.

The library is a place of Quiet!

Use a bookmark. Don't fold pages of a book.

All students are encouraged to borrow ONE book from the library each week. The book needs to be returned the following week, unless renewed. All books can only be renewed once.

No additional books may be borrowed if a student has an overdue, lost, or damaged book that has not been paid for.

A notice will be sent home in the Red Wednesday Folder about an overdue book.

All money received from replacements shall be applied to maintaining and repair of books and/or purchase of new books or library supplies.

Books labeled reference/encyclopedia are for teacher use and student research in the library and classroom only. They may not leave the school at any time!

Library cards stay in the library at all times.

FYI - The Scholastic Book Fair will be here at our school October 10-19, 2011.
