Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes Elementary School strives for excellence in providing a Catholic education that inspires and empowers our students to embrace the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ as compassionate and faithful Christians, who continue to pursue their spiritual journey, their highest academic potential, and stewardship to others.
Blessed New Year to all!!!
Report Cards: Second quarter report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, January 12th. Look for them, and return the parent slip signed.
Snow Days: There is a change in schedule because of our recent snow days. On Friday, February 4th, we will have a full day of school. The traditional 8th grade vs faculty volleyball game will be in the afternoon at 1:00. We will give more details later about Catholic School Week and about snow day make-up. I just want you to know to prepare for a full day of school on school on February 4th. Thank you.
Shoes, boots, etc.: New trends are beginning in the shoe line here at St. Agnes. This is what the school handbook has always said about school shoes: “Sturdy, flat-heeled dress shoes or gym shoes are to be worn by all students. Shoes should fit well and have enclosed toes and backs. Shoes with laces must be tied. Boots may be worn to and from school in inclement weather. They are not to be worn in the classroom. Shoes may not have distracting features, such as lights, wheels, etc.”
Slippers, soled or un-soled, should not be worn to school. Boots can be worn to and from school, but students do not sit with boots in the classroom all day. Shoes with laces, or lace holes need to be tied. If you have questions about the proper shoes, please let me know. Thank you.
St. Agnes School on Facebook: “Like” us on Facebook to keep up with things going on in our school. We are listed as “Saint Agnes School, Ft. Wright, Kentucky.” We will post announcements, awards, reminders, etc.
It is Science Fair time again! We have been blessed with amazing Science Fairs which would not be possible without all of the wonderful volunteers. Please look at our Volunteer Request Form to see if you could help. There will be a meeting on Friday, January 7th, from 12 to about 12:30 in the Science Lab on the 2nd floor. This is not a mandatory meeting, just a beginning organizational meeting. If you would like to help but cannot make the meeting, please email Mrs. Kremer at jkremer@saintagnes.com. We would gladly accept help from anyone, not just Jr. High parents. Thank you very much! Mrs. Jorja Kremer, Jr. High Science Teacher

After studying the Progressive Era in Social Studies, they created their own CD cover with song titles that related to the people and events of this time period (for example “ Rock My Teddy Bear” by Theodore Roosevelt, “All I Want for Christmas is to Vote” by the Suffragists…and many more creative titles).
