Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes Elementary School strives for excellence in providing a Catholic education that inspires and empowers our students to live the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ as compassionate and faithful Christians, who continue to pursue their spiritual journey, their highest academic potential, and stewardship to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL...
I shared this note about Catholic Schools Week in our parish bulletin this weekend. Please feel free to take a look.
I would also like to alert you to this information regarding House Bill 162 and Senate Bill 102. These bills would support educational opportunities for all Kentucky students with a Scholarship Tax Credit program. You can assist my reaching out to our legislators in support of these bills. The proposed scholarship tax credits will help Catholic schools both sustain our schools and increase the opportunity for a Catholic education among children from lower and middle class families. Thanks for your support of this program.
Please also note at the bottom of this newsletter important dates for the 2017-18 school year.
I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow night at our Catholic Schools Week Showcase.
~ Mr. Hoyt
Catholic Schools Week Activities: We still have a few activities going on this week. It has been an exciting and fun week and we thank all our volunteers who helped out.

Friday: "Celebrate our Spirit" - Wear your favorite Catholic school shirt with uniform bottoms; Mass (8 a.m.); 8th Grade/Faculty Volleyball Game (9:30 a.m.); Dismissal 11 a.m.
Catholic Schools Week Showcase: Our annual Catholic Schools Week Showcase will take place tomorrow, February 2, from 6:30-8 p.m. All guests will be able to see junior high science fair projects, the sixth grade sarcophagus showcase, and many other exciting things in classrooms that our Saint Agnes students have been working on.
School Mass at 8:00 a.m. This Friday: Please note that this Friday's school Mass will take place at 8 a.m. this Friday and NOT our regular 8:30 a.m. time.
Penny War: 1..2..3..4..Saint Agnes declares a Penny War! Students are encouraged to bring in their pennies through Friday, February 3. All money collected will go to a Saint Agnes family in need of our support. K-5 students will have a piggy bank in their homerooms. Each grade level will be averaged out according to the total collected per student, and the winning K-5 grade level will win a student council-sponsored pizza party. Junior high students will have a competition between each grade level and their teachers. Each grade level will have a piggy bank in the cafeteria during lunch time from January 23 - February 3. Junior high students can bring in pennies and silver change. The pennies count as positive and the silver change counts as negative (placed in another junior high grade level's piggy bank). The grade level that has the highest amount per student by the end of the two weeks wins a student council-sponsored pizza party.
