Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes Elementary School strives for excellence in providing a Catholic education that inspires and empowers our students to embrace the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ as compassionate and faithful Christians, who continue to pursue their spiritual journey, their highest academic potential, and stewardship to others.
Advent: This Sunday we light the pink candle on the advent wreath to symbolize that we are have the way through advent and on our way to Christmas. The time of waiting is coming to a close. Blessed Advent! Remember to bring in the socks by December 17 to help those not as fortunate as we.
High School Placement Tests: Diocesan placement tests will be this Saturday, December 11th, for the present eighth graders. Remember to register with the high school where you will be taking the test.
K-3 Christmas Program: The K-3 Christmas program will be on Thursday, December 16. The program starts at 6:30 in the gym. Students arrive between 6:15-6:25. Students should wear "dressy" clothing that would be appropriate for a church service or concert. NO blue jeans and avoiding athletic tennis shoes would be preferred. Student's should feel free to wear Christmas colors but do not have any specific costumes or colors to adhere to. If your child cannot attend the performance, please e-mail Claire Miller ASAP at cmiller@saintagnes.com so she can appropriate correct seating arrangements. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
School Bus Worries: Thank you for your patience with the bus problems this week. In these cold mornings we can only pray that the buses start. On Tuesday we got a new fuel pump for the bus that didn’t start, but on Thursday, the same bus still didn’t start. We tried to use Covington Catholic’s bus, but that bus wouldn’t start. I know there is nothing worse than hearing that news to add to a hectic morning. Know we will continue to try to communicate any news as soon as possible and do our best to keep those buses running. Thank you for your patience!
