Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes School exists to provide excellence in Catholic education while inspiring and empowering our students to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As compassionate and faithful Christians, we continue to pursue our spiritual journey, achieve our highest academic potential, and be stewards of the Catholic faith to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I want to congratulate our second graders who celebrated their first Sacrament of Reconciliation last night. They came into school very relieved today! Confession is one of the great symbols of humility we have in our Sacraments and we are proud of them for beginning their journey with the Sacrament.
Also, this Sunday our school will host one of our great parish events, Breakfast with Santa. It is an opportunity for the entire school community to be involved. Our young students have the opportunity to participate in crafts and games while receiving a visit from Santa himself! We are also looking for our older students to volunteer during the event. Breakfast with Santa takes place from 12:30-3:00 p.m. on the first floor Sunday. More information can be found below! ~ Mr. Hoyt
Advent Service Projects: We kicked off our Advent season at school with a prayer service on Monday morning. Students were introduced to the service projects we will conduct this season. Our first Advent Project will benefit the children at DCCH (the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home). Each student is asked to bring at least $1.00. On Thurs. Dec. 7 those who contributed can be out-of-uniform. The money we collect will be used to buy a new pair of pajamas, and slippers if needed, for the residents at the Home.
Our second Advent Project will be a food drive for Be Concerned. One of the ways Be Concerned assists low-income families in Northern Kentucky is by sending Weekend Power Packs home with students who are food-insecure. Through “Fully Relying on God,” we are called to be responsible and help those around us who are less fortunate. There are about 40 local children who depend on these power packs. Student Council is asking each homeroom to stuff their stocking for Jesus with the following items: pop-tarts, single-serve cereal, microwavable ravioli cups, mac & cheese cups, ramen noodle cups, cheese cracker snack packs, applesauce and fruit cups, pudding and Jello cups, and fruit snacks. Students can bring these items in any day from December 11-15.
6th Grade Academic Showcase Success: Congratulations to our 6th Grade Academic Team for their successes at this past Saturday’s Showcase. Our quick recall team place first after coming out of the loser’s bracket and defeating St. Pius twice to claim the championship! Individual awards included Clara Heberling in Composition (6th), Sophia Santos in Arts & Humanities (2nd), and Mia Napier in Language Arts (4th) and Science (3rd). Great job sixth graders and Coach Winter!
Kindergarten Preview Thursday, December 7: For any parents interested in our kindergarten program, we will be hosting our annual "Kindergarten Preview" on Thursday, December 7, from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Parents will have an opportunity to learn more about our program and observe lessons in our kindergarten classrooms. 6th-8th Grade Student Volunteers Needed for Breakfast with Santa: We are in need of several volunteer shifts filled by our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students for this Sunday's Breakfast with Santa. A Google Doc was shared with them this week and they are able to sign up to volunteer on the Google Doc. Shifts are from 12:10-1:00, 1:00-1:45, 1:45-2:30, 2:30-3:00, and clean up from 3:00-3:45 p.m. This is a great way for students to accumulate service hours. For questions please contact Mr. Hoyt.

Product Survey: Please help Saint Agnes earn money for the school. We still have over 20 spots open. We are looking for children ages 6-8 and an accompanying parent or guardian to complete an oral care (toothpaste) study and survey. This will occur on Monday, December 11, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. in Murphy Hall. The children may taste the product. If your child has any known allergies please do not sign them up to participate. Each survey should only take about 15 minutes. The link to sign up is http://signup.com/go/QdeWjhA. Saint Agnes will receive payment for each participating child with parent. We must have 30-40 participants to receive a bonus for perfect attendance. The last session we earned almost $500 for the school. Product surveys are a great opportunity for us to help Saint Agnes! Thank you, in advance, for participating in our fund raiser!
