Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes School exists to provide excellence in Catholic education while inspiring and empowering our students to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As compassionate and faithful Christians, we continue to pursue our spiritual journey, achieve our highest academic potential, and be stewards of the Catholic faith to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Our Advent prayer service, which took place Monday morning, has become one of my favorite events of the school year. It is always a great occasion for our entire school community to gather in prayer while also being reminded of why we celebrate Advent. In addition to our prayer service, you can probably imagine we are doing many things during the season as we prepare for the arrival of Jesus at Christmas. We are once again supporting the Diocesan Catholic Childrens' Home and Northern Kentucky Emergency Shelter during our Advent missions and we also are issuing an "Advent" challenge each day in our school community. I encourage all of our families to contribute to our Advent projects in some way. We have students who have visited the Northern Kentucky Emergency Shelter where they have seen firsthand the men and women who need a place to stay at night. And helping young people who are the same age as our students at the Diocesan Catholic Childrens' Home bring a greater community awareness to our students as they help. I challenged all of our students at the prayer service to step outside themselves, to pray more, and to be comfortable being uncomfortable this Advent season as we assist others. We will find our own joy as we help others. ~ Mr. Hoyt
Advent 2018: We will have an out-of-uniform day on Friday, December 7, to benefit the Diocesan Catholic Children's Home. At least $1 is required, but more is encouraged. We are also collecting for the Northern Kentucky Emergency Shelter. Students are encouraged to bring boxes of breakfast cereal, snacks such as peanut butter crackers, granola bars, energy bars, toothbrushes, travel-sized toothpaste and deodorant, and men’s and women’s hats and gloves. Please have all donations in by Friday, December 14, to allow time for delivery. Have a blessed Advent season and a Merry Christmas!

Please bring a camera to capture the special occasion!
School Choir at Park Hills Christmas: The Saint Agnes school choir has been invited to sing at the Annual Park Hills Christmas Celebration. The fun starts on Sunday, December 16, at 6 p.m. The choir members will be singing Christmas carols to kick off the festivities, which includes carriage rides, a luminary night, Christmas Tree lighting, and a visit from Santa. So mark your calendars and join in the fun!
Lunch 'n Learn: Would you like to help make sure your child's teacher is up-to-date with the latest technological trends? Please help us by providing lunch for the teachers during their monthly Lunch 'n Learns. The next Lunch 'n Learn is on December 10. What are Lunch 'n Learns? Saint Agnes Computer Teacher/Technology Coordinator Christina Woolley will hold monthly meetings during teachers' lunches to bring teachers up-to-date on the latest technology trends. There are about 30-35 teachers in all. The food would need to be delivered to school by 10:30 a.m. the morning of the scheduled meeting. Thank you for your help and don't forget to count this towards your volunteer hours! http://signup.com/go/svTMBCR.
