FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I look forward to seeing many of you at the Big Blue Bash this Friday. There has been much planning and anticipation of our PTO's biggest fundraiser and one of the great school community events we have all year. Remember if you cannot make it, you can still bid on silent auction items at http://bbb2019.givesmart.com. I would also like to thank everyone who contributed to the fish fries over the last month. Thank you to the volunteers and organizers who made these both financially successful and community-building successful!
As I mentioned in last week's newsletter, we will be bringing Internet Safety expert Steve Smith in a couple times over the next week to present to our 2nd-8th grade students (tomorrow) and to parents (April 10). I STRONGLY encourage your attendance at this presentation. Our older students and an adult(s) will be present to babysit children during the presentation and all children whose parents attend the presentation will receive an out-of-uniform day. Parents may also count their attendance towards their service hours. More information about the presentation can be found below. ~ Mr. Hoyt
Out-of-Uniform Collection Day Tomorrow - Baseball Theme: Students may wear their favorite baseball team apparel for our Sisters of Notre Dame Uganda Mission collection. If a student does not have the apparel they may wear their favorite team's colors or their favorite colors. Students should bring in at least $1 to donate to the SND Uganda Mission for this out-of-uniform day. To date, we have collected over $1890 for the mission. Our goal is to collect $3000 so we can pay for five students' tuition at St. Julie Primary School in Uganda. If each student brings in at least $3 tomorrow we will reach our goal!
Spring Sports Blessing: This Sunday, April 7, at the 11:30 a.m. Mass, we will have a special blessing for all of the coaches, players and parents of our spring sports programs here at Saint Agnes.
