Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes School exists to provide excellence in Catholic education while inspiring and empowering our students to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As compassionate and faithful Christians, we continue to pursue our spiritual journey, achieve our highest academic potential, and be stewards of the Catholic faith to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Friday is one of our great days of the school year! We will have our Wildcat Bash during the early part of the day and end the afternoon with our talent show. With the weather warming up as the week goes along, I recommend students come to school with sun tan lotion and a water bottle. Students should wear their assigned color for their shirt with their gym shorts. We will be providing a lunch that includes a hot dog, bag of chips, a Rice Krispie treat, and a drink. Students should pack their own lunch if they choose not to eat the hot dog lunch. We will also provide a snack mid-morning for students. We also welcome any additional volunteers to assist with serving lunch from 10:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Please email Mrs. Jansing at email@example.com if you are interested in volunteering. ~ Mr. Hoyt
A Note from the Student Council President:
Hello Saint Agnes School Community! We eighth graders will be graduating in just 15 days! As our grade school journey is coming to an end, we are exemplifying our school’s philosophy one last time, united as a grade: “The spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, physical, and emotional development is supported and the dignity of each person is respected.” We are supporting and respecting the dignity of all people by running a canned food drive on Monday, May 20 through Thursday, May 23. We encourage students to bring in canned food products to school on the dates above to be donated to the Parish Kitchen and the Welcome House. No donation is too little, nor too big.
Your Student Council President,
Congrats Mrs. Woolley and Family: Mrs. Woolley gave birth to Lincoln Charles Woolley on Friday, May 10, at 4:44 p.m. Lincoln entered the world weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz., and was 20.5 inches long. Mrs. Woolley put in a solid half-day of work on Friday before Lincoln decided he wanted to enter the world!
Scholastic "BOGO" Book Fair: Our final Scholastic Book Fair of the year is currently taking place through May 17. All books at this book fair will be "buy-one, get-one free." This is a great opportunity to find some books for summer reading! Students will be able to shop during library time or after school until 4 p.m. each day. Here is the link to the Saint Agnes BOGO bookfair website: http://www.scholastic.
Service Hours Out-of-Uniform Day Tomorrow: Tomorrow is an out-of-uniform day for students whose families have tallied their 20 service hours for the school year (10 hours for single-parent families). Parents may check their service hours records on Sycamore.
Wildcat Bash / Talent Show Schedule: A couple highlight events of our school year, the Wildcat Bash and Talent Show, will occur on Friday, May 17. We will begin that day with Mass at 8 a.m. (Please note the time change from our regular school Mass time). The Wildcat Bash events will begin at 9:30 a.m. (outside weather permitting) and the Talent Show will begin in the gym at 1:30 p.m. Please note that our 8th grade students are leading the game activities this year so we are not in need of volunteers for the games, just for serving lunch.
Wildcat Bash Volunteers: We need many volunteers to help serve lunch the day of the Wildcat Bash and Talent Show. If you would like to volunteer to help serve lunch the day of the Wildcat Bash/Talent Show, May 17, please email Mrs. Jansing at firstname.lastname@example.org.
