Mission Statement of Saint Agnes School
Saint Agnes School exists to provide excellence in Catholic education while inspiring and empowering our students to live the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. As compassionate and faithful Christians, we continue to pursue our spiritual journey, achieve our highest academic potential, and be stewards of the Catholic faith to others.
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
All of us - teachers, staff, and students - should take time to remember the most important events of our faith during this Holy Week and we should also take time during our break to enjoy time with family and rejuvenate for the remainder of the school year. But when we return to school on April 29. we will hit the ground running for a busy final five weeks!
During that first week back alone, we will have another ALICE (intruder) drill on Monday the 29th (More information will come before the 29th). The third grade business expo occurs on May 3. Our junior high production of "Shrek the Musical Jr." takes place on May 4. And many of our second grade students will celebrate the Sacrament of First Communion on Sunday, May 5. We also begin our spring MAP testing on Tuesday, April 30, and this session will run for a couple weeks. Our kindergarten students will be administered the MAP test (math and grammar) for the first time during this session.
In this week's newsletter I would like to give special mention to the 5th-8th grade honor roll. Our faculty decided that we needed to acknowledge the students on the "top floor" for their hard work in the classroom. We look forward to celebrating these students each quarter. Please also note that "Shrek" tickets are now on sale!I look forward to a productive end of the school year after a nice break. Enjoy your Easter and spring break! ~ Mr. Hoyt
