Welcome to 6th Grade Science

This course encompasses life, physical, earth, and space science from our textbook Science by Harcourt.  Students will take notes from lectures and study notes each evening.  It is very important to study nightly because pop quizzes are not uncommon, and sometimes studying is the only homework required for that day.  Formal assessment tests will be administered at the end of each unit and a study guide for these tests will be provided on this website.

Group projects and experiments will usually be completed during class time.  Occasionally individual projects, especially the leaf project, will be fully constructed at home.  Since we perform many hands on activities, at times I will request donations of household or inexpensive items for use in the classroom.  Please do not feel obligated to purchase these items, but if you have them on hand they would be greatly appreciated and enhance our learning tremendously.
