Kroger Community Rewards

Hello Everyone,

The Kroger Company is changing their rewards program for non-profit organizations effective April 30, 2012.  St. Agnes has been accepted into the new program, which is called Kroger Community Rewards.

We will no longer earn rewards for putting money on the Kroger reloadable gift cards.  Instead, every time an enrolled member of St. Agnes shops at Kroger using their Kroger Plus Card, we will earn rewards.  It’s easy – you shop, use your Kroger Plus Card, and St. Agnes receives the rewards.

Most of you already have a Kroger Plus Card.  If you do not, you can get one at the Customer Service Desk at any Kroger.   …Read more »

Final Camp Joy Update

Dear Parents,

Last night we did the “dutch auction,” which was a lot of fun.  The children had a total blast.  Today they are doing the ropes and pamper pole along with some other group initiatives.  We will eat lunch and then load the bus about 12:30p/1:00p.

We will arrive at school between 2:00p and 2:30p.

The time flew by for them!!  Be sure to ask about all the things they did!

Thanks!

Camp Joy Update #2

Dear Parents,

We heard from the Camp Joy campers this morning after breakfast.  Last night was an unforgettable experience with the Underground Railroad.  Just wait for the many stories.  All did very well.  Yesterday part of the group were able to do the outdoor ropes course with the zip line.  The rule at Camp Joy is “challenge by choice,” no one has to do what he doesn’t want to do, but all encourage and support each other.  The other group is scheduled for ropes tomorrow.  More activities today….climbing wall, duo dango, and group initiatives.  All are having a great time.  The food is good and the children are doing their hopper duties in the lunchroom, serving, cleaning up, sweeping, etc.  Tonight will be the “dutch auction.”  Again….more stories to look forward to.  The counselors are awesome!  What a great experience.  …Read more »

Camp Joy Update

Dear Parents,

All arrived safely at Camp Joy about 11 today.  They had lunch and went through an orientation.  It is not raining there but it’s very windy today.  They may decide to wait on the “ropes” until tomorrow.  Tonight they will do the Underground Railroad experience.  I will email again tomorrow morning after I hear how their day and evening went.

Thanks,
Linda Groh

Several of our 8th graders have been selected to have their tribute poems published in Creative Communication, a national anthology of poetry.  This is a great honor for St. Agnes since teens from all over the country send in entries.  Please check over all of the information on the form your son/daughter might be bringing home.  It must be mailed back to the company by February 9th or registered online.  You will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the anthology, and the school will get a copy for our library.
